Goal Setting Can Get More Specific

I’m sure you’ve heard it before…Goal setting needs to be SMART.  But what does that mean?

Well…it stands for: specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and timely.

These goal setting techniques will see you through the finish line and help you achieve the success you’ve been aiming for!

Following the goal setting tips, what is a specific goal?

A specific goal is really thinking over what you really want to achieve. You intend to eat healthier and that’s a really good objective, no questions about that.

But you need to be more specific…how will you eat healthier?

Eating healthier may mean eating less of your usual no-holds-barred diet and more of fruits and vegetables…or maybe cutting down on the high-calorie foods and helping yourself to low-fat recipes.

Or maybe you want to improve your performance at work, be able to pass your reports on time and meeting your deadlines.

How will you do that? You need to have a clear set of ideas on how you will achieve your performance goals.

You may require yourself to finish all reports at a certain time or you should not divert yourself with unnecessary distractions while working.

Setting goals is easy, we all have one thing or another that we always have wanted to change and improve about ourselves. However, an effective goal setting needs to be specific so that you have a clear vision of your goals.
